About Wang
Since beginning his poker journey in 2012, Wang has established himself as one of China’s top players, being ranked in the top 50 for the entire country. His biggest moment to date was winning the Beijing Poker Cup main event on New Year’s Eve in 2015 for a cool 1 Million RMB.
While enjoying success across all forms of poker, Wang prefers cash games to tournaments, and finds them more consistent than the lulls and big scores encountered when playing tournaments.

Away from the felt, Wang loves movies, billiards, basketball (he’s a Cleveland Cavs fan!) and swimming. If it wasn’t for poker, he feels he’d be working in statistics instead. Many of the principles that are integral to the study of statistics apply to poker, and given his success at the tables, we’ve no doubt Wang would make a fine statistician.
If Wang could play a poker game against anyone, he’d choose poker pro Daniel Negreanu, and let Daniel try to guess his hole cards every time.
