In the 2017 MPC (Macau Poker Cup) 27 Red Dragon event, Huang fought his way through a record breaking tournament field to make the final table. He dominated much of the Day 3 action to make it to the final table, but unfortunately finished 8th to take home a prize of HK$313,000. To recap his last hand, Huang opened for 1.46 million, which folded around to Qiuming Qin in the small blind. Qin proceeded to tank before he flatted with the big blind sitting behind him. After the big blind folded, it would come down to Huang's K9 offsuit against Qin's pair of eights. However, things did not look good from the flop to the river, and he left in good spirits with his eyes set on his next live tournament stint. Nevertheless, Huang has only recently begun his transition from online to live events, and the future looks bright as he has already strung up a run of cashes while also final tabling the MPC27 Baby Dragon in 9th place for HK$94,100.
