Our congratulations go out to ambassador Kitty Kuo for placing 2nd for $248,380 in the first-ever WPT Bobby Baldwin Classic. It was a hard-fought battle going heads-up with the massive chip leader Darren Elias for three grueling hours. The WPT Bobby Baldwin Classic brought together a field of 162 entries featuring some of the biggest names in poker such as Joseph McKeehen, Jonathan Little, Stephen Chidwick, and Phil Hellmuth Jr.
The heads-up play started with Elias having a 3-1 chip lead. It was a marathon testing the endurance and mental strength of both players. Although the blinds continued to increase, Kuo hung in there as she fought valiantly while managing to double up three times. However, it was nothing short of a victory in Kuo's mind as her resilience has proven strong while continuously making big cashes since 2009. That's ten long years and counting! And not to forget her humble personality to boot, the Kitty Kuo we have all come to love continues to shine on the brightest stages of tournament poker.
